Lisa is a reportage and portrait photographer with a strong love of shooting behind the scenes imagery. She studied French & Spanish at Newcastle University followed by Photography at Northumbria University & renowned art college Central St Martins in London. She spent eight years in London as a picture editor on magazines including Instyle, Guardian, Telegraph & BA Highlife. The languages (French, Spanish, Italian, German & a little bit of Greek) and the Picture Editing background both come in useful.

She shoots portraiture & reportage building a quick and trusted rapport with subjects and is as happy shooting on a set of twenty as with one dancer standing quietly in the wings of the ballet. The subjects she covers are very diverse raning from artist Anya Gallacio in Lindisfarne Castle for the National Trust to world champion cyclists for Cyclist Magazine at the Giro Rosa in Italy.

Lisa is passionate about the representation of women in sport and is proud to be shooting some large feature stories both in the UK & Europe for the world's biggest road racing magazine Cyclist.

With two young girls herself who between them cover and have covered football, rugby, fencing, swimming, karate, tennis, running, skiing and surfing sport for women is a big part of her life.

Lisa shoots with editorial and commercial clients including Cyclist, Rapha, Telegraph, Times and design agencies in the north. Based in the north and shooting across the UK & in Europe.

She is looking to incorporate unit stills and specials into her work after shadowing photographer Jack English on the Gary Oldman & Kristin Scott Thomas Oscar winning film Darkest Hour.
