Lisa is a unit stills, advertising, sports, portrait & reportage photographer with fourteen years experience. She has a passion for shooting behind the scenes imagery with a strong narrative.
Client list includes BBC, Screen Yorkshire, Rapha, Times, Telegraph, Cyclist, Working Title, Old Hall Films, Redbreast Productions. Based in the north shooting across the UK & Europe.
Her first experience of a film set was on Darkest Hour with Gary Oldman. She works closely with Screen Yorkshire an investment company based in Leeds. Lisa has shot stills, bts & publicity stills on shorts, feature & TV documentary shooting A-list actors with Oscar winning producers; it's an amazing job. She builds a quick and trusted rapport with subjects and is as happy shooting unobtrusively or directing a portrait session from single portraits to large group images. Lisa understands the time constraints on shooting on set and always works hard to achieve the desired shots no matter, working quickly around access & time allowed. Lisa shoots with Sony A9's & her own Profoto lighting.
Lisa is passionate about the representation of women in sport and is proud to be shooting some large feature stories both in the UK & Europe for the world's biggest road racing magazine Cyclist with race teams including Canyon/Sram, Trek Seggafredo & Boels Dolman.
She studied French & Spanish at Newcastle University followed by Photography at Northumbria University & renowned art college Central St Martins in London. She spent eight years in London as a picture editor on magazines including Instyle, Guardian, Telegraph & BA Highlife. The languages (French, Spanish, Italian, German & a little bit of Greek) and the Picture Editing background both come in useful.
